Massachusetts High School Basketball

Putting all of Massachusetts high school basketball on the same page!

Exclusively dedicated to Massachusetts high school basketball

Welcome to Mass Hoops, the only website solely dedicated to high school basketball history in Massachusetts. Our mission is to put all of the Bay State’s glorious hardwood highlights on one website. Our History section includes a catalog of Massachusetts players who reached the exclusive 2,000-point plateau, an archive of every state champ since 1965, and a record of the Bay State greats that made it all the way to the NBA. We’ve also created a Massachusetts High School Basketball Hall of Fame that commemorates more than 90 of the state’s former heroes and nearly 50 of it’s legendary coaches. Our Blog includes special features like Who Was the State’s Greatest Scorer Ever, What Was the Best Girls Team of All Time, or What might have happened if the 1982 & 1983 state championships had been played?

There’s also a critically acclaimed Mass Hoops book celebrating the greatest moments in Massachusetts high school basketball history, released in December, 2009.

Smooth Bob Carrington was the first black player at Archbishop Williams.
